Fifty Women Cooperative Societies in Kogi West to Benefit from Small Business Funds scheme powered by Distinguished Senator Karimi.

No fewer than fifty registered Cooperative Societies will benefit from the small business funds scheme from the stable of Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi in order to augment working capital for registered women organisation.

A statement from the office of the Senator read, “It is part of Senator Sunday Karimi campaign promises to boost small business and start up capitals for constituents especially the youths and women. The Senator is honouring one of his campaign promises by rolling out the first batch, which shall target women group. ” This noble gesture shall be a yearly exercise.

The money is expected to be managed by the leadership of each Cooperative Society under professional supervision of a team of experienced cooperative managers and small-scale business financing.

The idea is to build strong Cooperative Societies among Kogi West women, build their capacities, and improve the lifestyle of Kogi West women in small-scale businesses and agriculture.

The Committee to handle this laudable initiative has started working with the collations of registered women groups and Cooperative Societies.

It is the hope and belief of the Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi that the One Hundred Million Naira (#100,000,000) support will go a long way to stimulate the small scale businesses in Kogi West positioning them for sustainability.
